FOR STARS WILL RISE AGAIN
(via mysteriousdancing)
Oh hey. Guess what. I posted this (with a click through link thank you very much) about 2 hours ago. That’s weird.
Trust me though, it was a matter of NECESSITY. There was literally nothing else we could see.
Well. That’s a lie. We could have seen Old Dogs. But… no. Just no.
So we had to scrounge together 21.50 for two movie tickets (highway robbery, as my grandmother would say), and after properly emptying the contents of my purse on the floor of Borders to look for spare change not once, but twice, we finally trooped our way through the long ticket line and then up to the theater. Of course the boy complained the whole time.
“ICAN’TBELIEVEI’MSEEINGATWILIGHTMOVIEAHHHMYMANHOODISBEINGSERIOUSLYTHREATENEDI’MSOEMBARRASSED”
Whine whine whine, it’s all that boy does.
Now, I have to admit, seeing the movie was not all that bad.
Let me clarify- SEEING the movie was not all that bad. The movie was atrocious of course, but honestly neither the boyfriend nor I were watching very intently. Hehe.
But honestly, the parts that I did see weren’t terrible. Obviously the plot/acting was pretty cheese-tastic, but Chris Weitz did what he could, and the movie is pretty beautiful. I especially loved the shot of Bella sitting at the window as the months pass. And that shot of Taylor Lautner taking off his shirt. And the shot of him half naked in the rain. Oh wait. I think I may just like shirtless Taylor Lautner.
But, I gotta say it… the boyfriend’s better. Taylor Lautner looks like he spends 3 1/2 hours a day waxing and tanning (and we all know I like my boys pale and scruffy).
So yes, putting up with all of Edward and Bella’s immensely awkward “loving” scenes was… yeah. It was worth it. Definitely worth it.
